A bucket-conveyorised plant driven by a motor that throws metallic waste into a centrifuge of 5 kg capacity. The centrifuge extracts oil from the metallic waste through centrifugal force and stops automatically on a timer. The dry waste falls and collects in a bin, and the whole cycle repeats automatically from the electrical control panel.
Metal chips leaving a machining centre are soaked in cutting oil. When that swarf goes into a scrap bin, the oil goes with it — you pay for the oil, you pay to dispose of a wet mixture, and you get a lower price for contaminated scrap.
Centrifuging the swarf separates the two. The oil comes back for filtration and reuse, the metallic waste leaves dry and sells as clean scrap, and the mess of oil-soaked chips sitting in a bin next to the machine disappears.
The bucket conveyor charges the centrifuge, so no one is shovelling wet swarf by hand.
Centrifugal force pulls oil out of the metallic waste far more completely than draining ever will.
The centrifuge stops itself on a timer, so the cycle is the same every charge.
The electrical control panel repeats the whole cycle, so the plant runs unattended.
Waste leaves dry and collects in a bin, which raises its scrap value and cuts disposal cost.
Extracted oil goes to filtration and back into service instead of leaving with the scrap.
